Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
The short version: the calculator runs entirely in your browser and the values you type are never sent to us. This site is supported by advertising and uses analytics, so Google and our advertising partners may set cookies on your device. Section 5 explains exactly which cookies and how to opt out.
1. Who we are
Fursuit Fur Yardage Calculator (“we”, “us”) operates this website. For any privacy question, or to exercise a right described below, contact us at fursuit.calculator@outlook.com.
2. Information the calculator handles
The inputs you choose — suit type, body size, fur quality, fur width, buffer percentage, colour count and the optional adjustments — are processed in your browser using client-side JavaScript. They are held in the page's memory only for as long as the tab is open.
- These values are not transmitted to our servers.
- They are not used to build an advertising profile.
- They are not shared with any third party, because we never receive them in the first place.
When you close or refresh the page, the values are gone. Reloading the site returns the calculator to its default settings.
3. Exported results
The result text you can copy, and the image you can save, are generated locally. The image is rendered in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. Neither is uploaded to us.
4. Hosting and server logs
The site is served as static files from a content delivery network. Like any web host, the provider may record standard request information such as your IP address, the page requested, the referring page, a timestamp and your browser's user agent string. This is used for delivering content, security and aggregate traffic reporting.
These logs are outside our direct control and are governed by the hosting provider's own privacy terms. We do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors, and we do not combine them with any other data.
5. Cookies, advertising and analytics
The calculator itself sets no cookies. However, this site is supported by advertising and uses analytics to understand which pages are useful, so the sections below describe the third-party cookies that may be set when you visit.
5.1 Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
We may partner with third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdSense, to display ads on our site. These third parties may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising partners may request your consent before setting advertising cookies. Where required, a consent notice will be presented before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
5.2 Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic: how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they come from. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which are used to distinguish one visitor from another and to maintain session state. These cookies contain a randomly generated identifier rather than your name or email address.
Analytics data is reported to us in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with the values you enter in the calculator.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
5.3 Affiliate links
Some links to fabric suppliers on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate networks may set a cookie when you click such a link so that the purchase can be attributed to us. These cookies do not give us access to your personal information, order details or payment data, and they do not change the price you pay. Affiliate links are always labelled as such where they appear.
5.4 Strictly necessary cookies
A hosting or content delivery provider may set a strictly necessary cookie for security, load balancing or bot protection. These are not used to identify you or to build an advertising or behavioural profile.
5.5 Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how this site and other websites function. For instructions, see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.
6. Third-party links
Pages on this site may link to external resources, such as fabric suppliers or fursuit making communities. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies before submitting information to them.
7. Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience planning tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information through the calculator, we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data such as access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability, or the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Because the calculator never transmits your inputs, there is no calculator data for us to act on.
Advertising and analytics cookies are set by third parties, not by us. You can exercise control over those directly using the opt-out links in section 5, through your browser cookie settings, or through any consent notice presented on the site.
The other exception is if you email us directly. In that case we hold your email address and the content of your message so we can reply. You can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time and we will do so unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
9. Data retention and security
We do not retain calculator input, because we never receive it. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your enquiry and then deleted. The site is served over HTTPS, and we operate no personal data storage system of our own, which removes most conventional breach risk by design.
Cookie and analytics data collected by Google and our advertising partners is retained according to their own retention policies, not ours. See Google's Privacy Policy for the retention periods Google applies.
10. International transfers
The calculator does not transfer your inputs between jurisdictions, because no inputs leave your browser. Hosting providers may process standard request logs in multiple regions as part of operating a global content delivery network, and Google may process advertising and analytics data in data centres outside your country of residence. Where required, such transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses published by the relevant providers.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the “last updated” date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy. We recommend checking this page if you are concerned about how your information is handled.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to personal data you have sent us by email, can be directed to fursuit.calculator@outlook.com, or through the contact page.
Third-party advertising and analytics providers may change their cookie practices independently of us. This page is reviewed periodically, and the last-updated date at the top always reflects the current version. If we add a new advertising partner or analytics service, this page is updated before that feature goes live.
